Welcome back to 2018! Christmas seems like a distant memory, but I hope you had a wonderful time with your children over the festive holiday.
We are now back in full swing, even if the weather is trying its best to disrupt us! This term we have already had our S2 parents’ reporting and information evening, and more will follow in the coming weeks. There have been some tweaks to our secondary curriculum and we are explaining what this will mean for your son/daughter then – so please do come along if you can. Read more
Dear Parents and Carers
Since the start of Term 2, things in the secondary have been focused on classroom learning. In the senior school, pupils are very busy completing coursework and preparing for tests, final pieces of work and exams. Don’t forget to encourage your child to come along to extra supported study classes. Information can be accessed here.
Learning, of course, also involves lots of opportunities outside our classrooms to extend and deepen our learning. We have recently used some of our additional funding for this year to secure a modern apprentice and additional time with our Outdoor Learning specialist. Lots of our young people (in the primary and secondary) are gaining from new opportunities this session. Read more

Our Nursery was visited by the Care Inspectorate on 5th February 2016. The Inspection Report has now been published and highlights a number of areas of very good and excellent practice.
It was identified that the Nursery makes excellent use of the environment both within the nursery and around the rest of the school providing opportunities for stimulating play using areas such as the gym, drama studio, sensory room, noisy quiet, wee room, outdoor classroom and library. They also highlighted that staff are experienced, skilled, enthusiastic and motivated and ensure that our children are provided with a variety of experiences which interest and challenge them.
