Pennies for the Playgrounds update

We are delighted to be able to announce that the Basil Death Trust has awarded our Pennies for the Playground appeal £1500.

Basil Death was a successful businessman who lived in Highland Perthshire and who died, without heirs, in 2006.

He had a huge sense of social responsibility and wanted his estate to be used to support good causes, hence the establishment of The Basil Death Trust.

Having lived in Perthshire, served in the Irish Guards and as a lifelong Roman Catholic, he wished the Trust to support local educational projects in Highland Perthshire, the Roman Catholic Church, and military charities, together with other good causes.

The Trust has also granted a £1500 award to our Romania trip to support our young people to visit the Recuperare Clinic in Bucharest.  We are very grateful for the generosity the Trust has shown our community.

Our current total for the Pennies for the Playgrounds appeal is now £15,000.  Thanks to all for your ongoing support.  We also have a couple of important announcements to make soon – so watch this space!
