Positive Care Inspectorate report for St John’s Academy Nursery
Our Nursery was visited by the Care Inspectorate on 5th February 2016. The Inspection Report has now been published and highlights a number of areas of very good and excellent practice.
It was identified that the Nursery makes excellent use of the environment both within the nursery and around the rest of the school providing opportunities for stimulating play using areas such as the gym, drama studio, sensory room, noisy quiet, wee room, outdoor classroom and library. They also highlighted that staff are experienced, skilled, enthusiastic and motivated and ensure that our children are provided with a variety of experiences which interest and challenge them.
Seán Hagney, Headteacher, welcomed the report, saying:
“The latest nursery inspection report provides our parents with a comprehensive evaluation of our nursery provision at St John’s Academy. The report highlights the very good and excellent practice within our nursery and we are grateful to the Care Inspectorate for their input. We will use this report to continue to improve and set priorities for the coming months and years.
“I would like to thank everyone involved in or contributed to the inspection process, including our nursery staff, parents and the children themselves. I am also grateful for the excellent support we receive from Perth and Kinross Education and Children’s Services who enable us to provide an environment which engages and challenges our young learners”.
