24 June 2021 – All through
I couldn’t leave without a final blog!
Thank you for the support you have given to me and to St John’s Academy over the past year, and on a personal level, over the past 11 years. The journey over this time has been incredible, and the many improvements and achievements we have made together are nothing short of remarkable.
St John’s Academy is a very special place. It is special because of the people who make up our community. Please continue to be involved, supporting the school in whatever ways you can. The Parent Council is always looking for new members who can give a bit of time, supporting your child in wearing the full uniform, helping with homework, getting in touch when you have concerns, coming along to events and parents’ evenings, giving to our charity fundraisers if you can…these are all important ways parents/carers can help build our community. Any support is always appreciated.
Below is the final message I shared with our pupils which may be of interest to you. It has been an honour to serve this community as Headteacher and Campus Leader and I wish Dr Staines and the new Headteacher every success in the future. St John’s Academy will always have a special place in my heart.
I wish you a wonderful summer ahead.
God bless you and your families.
Seán P Hagney
Headteacher and Campus Leader
