Hi Parents, Carers and Young People of St John’s RC Academy
Welcome to the Parent Council! We have a great opportunity at our school to be able to contribute towards the education and recreation of our young people from age 3-18. We have 4 meetings throughout the year which follows an agenda however it is very informal in every other way. Lots of laughs, tea, coffee and biccies! Occasionally we have guest speakers on a variety of subjects. If you feel you have something which you wish to find out more about or have a contact for an organisation that you would like to invite along, we would be delighted to hear from you.Read more

There have been some tweaks to our secondary curriculum and we are explaining what this will mean for your son/daughter then – so please do come along if you can. Read more
Dear Parents and Carers

In the senior school, pupils are very busy completing coursework and preparing for tests, final pieces of work and exams. Don’t forget to encourage your child to come along to extra supported study classes. Information can be accessed here.
Learning, of course, also involves lots of opportunities outside our classrooms to extend and deepen our learning. We have recently used some of our additional funding for this year to secure a modern apprentice and additional time with our Outdoor Learning specialist. Lots of our young people (in the primary and secondary) are gaining from new opportunities this session. Read more
