YPI Final Event 21 June 2017

The YPI Scotland National Event takes place in June each year, and represents an opportunity to celebrate all that has been achieved through YPI that year, whilst showcasing best practice from across Scotland.

The event recognises the philanthropic success and engagement of tens of thousands of secondary students who have been responsible for directing hundreds of thousands of pounds to local grassroots charities. Read more

Performance Data Published

In order to help raise attainment and support school improvement, information is gathered annually on the attainment and destinations of school leavers across Scotland.

The information presented here is designed to give parents a view of how schools are meeting the challenges facing Scottish education today:

  • equipping children and young people with the skills, experience and attitudes needed in the 21st century,
  • raising attainment for all, and
  • ensuring every child has the same opportunity to succeed.

Hong Kong-Scotland Connections

Seven Hong Kong pupils stayed with families of St John’s RC Academy and had an amazing exchange trip, visiting and experiencing life in Scotland for nine days. One of the highlights included a civic welcome by Cllr Bob Band, Depute Provost, here at North Inch Community Campus.  In 2016, seven pupils and a member of staff from St John’s Academy will visit our new friends in Hong Kong and experience their way of life. We would like to thank all the pupils and teachers from St John’s Academy who contributed in making our Hong Kong colleagues and pupils so welcome. Read more

Ethiopia study trip with SCIAF

Acting Headteacher, Seán Hagney, recently visited Ethiopia as part of a SCIAF study trip for Scottish teachers.  His story recently featured in the Scottish Catholic Observer and can be downloaded here.  Mr Hagney will be talking about his journey to Ethiopia and the people he met there over the coming months, as well as helping SCIAF to produce resources for Scottish schools.
